Here are the GRADING GUIDELINES we use for 45s. On some listings, we describe an items condition in detail instead of using a grade. If you would like more information on any item, just drop us a line!

EX (EXCELLENT): Our top grade. Near perfect condition.

EX - (EXCELLENT MINUS): Exceptionally nice condition. Not far from excellent, possibly a handful or less of light, small flaws. Very clean and shiny surface, and little evidence of much play or handling. Minimal audible imperfections.

VG ++ (VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS): A very nice record with most of its original luster. Possibly a small amount of light surface marking, surface scuffing, light surface scratching or the like. Light audible imperfection may be present.

VG + (VERY GOOD PLUS): The surface is still clean and retains much of its original luster. Scuffing or a few visible light scratches but not deep. May play with a few light ticks and minimal light pops but no serious issues.

VG (VERY GOOD): Scuffing or surface wear may be present. Possibly several light scratches and/or some medium depth scratches. Visibly the surface still has at least some luster to it. Records in this condition might have some surface noise, ticking or a few pops but still play OK.

VG - (VERY GOOD MINUS): Well used with significant visual flaws, lots of moderate scratching and/or a few deep scratches that cause surface noise and pops, but no skipping or repeating.

G (GOOD): Shows signs of very much use, with a variety of flaws, scratches, wear, etc. Records in this condition will have significant noise, and we will rarely list an item in this shape unless it is difficult to find.

F (FAIR): Our lowest grade. Large amount of deep scratches and lots of wear. No chips or cracks. The only records we ever list in this condition are rare and should be considered a place holder until a better copy comes along.

EX (EXCELLENT): Our top grade. Outstanding, not far from perfect condition. Hardly any surface wear and no more than a couple of insignificant small imperfections, if any.

EX - (EXCELLENT MINUS): Very nice condition. A small amount of surface wear, and/or a couple of small flaws like minor corner dings, light crinkling, or very light creasing, but still top notch.

VG + (VERY GOOD PLUS): Minor flaws. May include light surface wear or light ring wear. Can include some seam wear. Possible crinkles, creasing or dings, but still relatively minor in this condition.

VG (VERY GOOD): May include some seam splitting, writing, surface and/or ring wear, creasing. Still intact but well used.

VG - (VERY GOOD MINUS): Substantial flaws with lots of wear and use.

G (GOOD): Large amount of problems and significant use and wear. Sleeves in this condition have many visual flaws and have never been properly cared for. We tend to not list many items in this condition unless they are difficult to find.

F (FAIR): Our lowest grade. There is nothing good to say about any sleeve in this shape, and the only sleeves we ever list in this condition should be considered a place holder until a better copy comes along.
